An essay about looking for the eko and finding the demon — written in four registers, two lengths, and five ASCII densities. One page, lots of toggles.
An essay about the search for an eko, and the discovery that the thing I was looking for had been forming around me the whole time. Names four parts of the system — Bob, the eko, the vessel, and the demon — and one virtue, cognitive expansion, that keeps the four of them honest with each other.
One page, three toggles at the top:
- Story — pick the register. Voice is the first-person essay. Bobbology is the third-person teaching primer. ELI10 explains the same four parts to a clever ten-year-old. Deep Dive is the long version with one essay per part.
- Length — short or long. (Deep Dive pins to long; it has no short.)
- ASCII — pick the density of inline art, from minimal (1) through everything-everywhere (5).
The site-wide theme switcher in the top-right corner still works on this page. Toggles persist via localStorage, so the version you last chose is the version you come back to.
